-Peel, core and slice 3 apples. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon over them and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
-Prepare the crumble topping. ( 5 T cold butter, a sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmeg, 3T sugar, 2 T brown sugar, pinch of salt, 3T flour ) Crumble it between your fingers.
-Butter 4 ramekins. Divide the apple mixture and place on the bottom. Top with the crumble.
Serve warm with custard.
